Hi, I'm Emily
but I'm also known as, Jemz.
I grew up dancing at the Jean Hart Academy of Dance in San Diego for 15 years of my childhood.

Years later I was introduced to electronic music and doing ballet at a music festival while watching one of favorite dj's.As I went to pique arabesque, someone with LED sneakers walked by and the idea was born. ​
I thought, ‘what if my pointe shoes lit up when I went en pointe’.
Thousands of hours googling and prototyping in my parents garage later, I figured out how to make them and built dozens of prototypes.Now I’m ready to work with a manufacturer to bring them to the public.
This is the first phase of Jemz Ballet.The long term mission of Jemz Ballet is to offer classes, performances and build dance studios in underdeveloped communities to serve as a social and economic resource.​​
